Example of the cleaning of a textile before and after

This suzani embroidery, a textile from the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts, Paris, was initially cleaned on the automated installation ; however the textile appeared only slightly cleaner due to the fineness of the weave of the support.
It was then cleaned a second time on the vacuum cleaning table which allowed for a localized treatment of the dirt and stains. The latter were removed by the use of solvents and surfactants.
