Chevalier Conservation has several zones that are fitted out with the equipment required for each treatment: a large space for the cleaning of carpets and rugs, a laboratory, conservation-restoration studios for carpets, tapestries and textiles, as well as space for long or short term storage of textile objects.
The laboratory is equipped with high tech installations: a vacuum table for the cleaning of textiles, automated system specifically designed for the cleaning
of tapestries, microscopes for fibre identification….
The storage facility for tapestries and textiles is fitted with an alarm system against theft and with a fire warning device. The textiles are thereby stored in complete security.
Objects of considerable value and importance are transported in an unmarked vehicle fitted with an alarm and a GPS device that allows the whereabouts of the vehicle to be known at all times and to eventually immobilize the vehicle in the case of theft.
